Technical Services Competency (TSC) Delivery provides IT help desk support to end Users of a client/organization through Issue identification & in scope Troubleshooting .Technical services competency manages the clients IT environments & acts as the face of Technical support for the clients. Key services offered include : IT Service Desk : Level 1, Centralized Technical support, Install-Move-Add-Change (IMAC Coordination), Enablement Services ,Parts & Inventory Management Services, Server Support, Service Delivery Planning, Network operations center (NOC), Application Support, IVR management, training, quality & Project Management/ Transition Services. Role:

  • You will be involved in solving technical query & Trouble shooting.
  • Receiving or/and making calls to be able to respond to client concerns/ request that are basic technical in nature.
  • Perform initial problem determination (Level1) in support of contracted scope of services with related hardware, software and services support as specified in the contract schedule.


Responsibility:

  • You have to provide technical advice and guidance to Help Desk CSRs for reported incidents for which the CSR cannot find a knowledge document.
  • Help Desk focal point for reported High Severity incidents, sending out email alerts, and resolves, updated client website and VRU.
  • Assist in End to End Problem, Change and Incident Management.


Skills Required:

  • Should have proven knowledge of Computer systems and functions. Eg. Laptop, Desktop & Printers.
  • Excellent communicatio skills.
  • Should possess proven knowledge of mobile devices like Blackberry, I Phone, other smart phones etc.
  • Should have proven knowledge of operating systems like Windows XP, d) Windows 7 and Windows.
  • Proven communication Skills to be able to effectively communicate with customers over Phone / email.
  • Knowledge on Mail clients like Lotus and MS Outlook.


Total Year of Experience:

  • 0 to 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Shift: Rotational. Willingness to work for night shifts.
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Basic knowledge in IT Trouble shooting
  • English: Fluent

Job Description :

Support problem and change tickets for client support operations (e.g. storage systems or server) for work involving problem determination and implementation of changes to hardware, software, applications or network systems. These tasks are not standardized and require independent thought and problem solving to resolve. Interaction with other teams is often required to solve issues.
Work to standardize repeatable tasks and steps across multiple accounts. This may require creating documentation or scripts that can be used to solve the same problem in the future.
Team members participate once or more a day in cadence discussion on team performance. These meetings are typically led by the primary pool manager or Dispatcher. They discuss issues or challenges, and receive trouble-shooting input /advice from other team members. They may also discuss team performance trends. Primary pool team members may also separately interact and exchange information with members of cross-pool teams.
Implement medium to complex product upgrades and/or medium to complex security compliance corrections without assistance.It is one of the biggest competitor among other service based companies.

Written Test:

It consists of Aptitude,Technical and Essay Writing Questions.Aptitude question would be average from Simple Interest, Time and work, Speed time distance, Profit and loss.

Group Discussion:

In the Group Discussion stage following qualities are measured:

  • Communication skill
  • Alertness
  • Presence of Mind
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Creativity

Hello Everyone !

This is Amar Gupta and If you are called for a off campus drive with IBM then this post is for you.

As usual expect huge crowd to appear for Written test. The selection process comprises of :

1. Written Test (Aptitude+ Number Series).
2. English WrittenTest.  (Basically Business Writing).
3. Face to face Interview (Technical+ HR).

Points to remember about:
  •  Aptitude question would be average from Simple Interest, Time and work, Speed time distance, Profit and loss. And few more easy topics. But the twist is you will be given fixed time of 2 minutes 15 seconds to attempt each question. After this allotted time the question window will disappear regardless of your attempt. So keep an eye on time.Maximum Eliminations are done here. If you are through, 50% you get the job.
  • English assessment is not an ordinary English test. It is entirely a business letter type. For this practise paper given in other posts of IndiaBix. Another huge eliminations are done here. And yes good news is if you are through this round, 95%u get the job.
  • Face to face interview is a piece of cake. Believe me IBM HRs are the best HRs in the world. You will feel so comfortable talking to them.
So there is no point in being nervous. Just answer every confidently and try to be you. Don't try to over emphasize your weaknesses and talk as much as possible. Try to be interactive inspite of giving one word answer.

This interview is meant to eliminate the dumbos only. So don't worry. You Are in.
